Here I was trying to do something new and join a Blog Hop in February. But true to form I procrastinated right past the date for adding my link to the blog. So I created a similar card in the March colours and am way ahead of schedule! I will include a picture of the original card below as well 🙂
The Color Combo Blog Hop picks three colours to create with each month. March’s colours are Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry. To create my card I pulled a stamp set from my shelf that I have had for a while but hadn’t found any love yet! I don’t like to admit that, but sometimes it takes a little while for a set to jump off the shelf and into my hands.
The Swirly Frames Stamp set can be very versatile with various shapes and sizes to help highlight different elements of your card. However, for this card they are the highlight!

I didn’t have any DSP that used these three colours so I created my own. It can be quite fun to just stamp shapes all over a piece of paper to create backgrounds that fit your mood and theme. To make the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set pop I used a couple of different sizes of circles and the swirly frame from the Painted Labels Dies that is part of the Painted Poppies Bundle, all available in the 2020 January-June Mini Catalogue.

I hope you enjoy the card and have fun hopping! Follow the NEXT button to the next blog! As promised you can see below the card originally created with last month’s hop colours.

A great card.
Thanks for the inspiration.
Happy Sunday and greetings from Leipzig.

Danke schön!
Very nice Jenn, you definitely did that stamp set justice. The catalog came up short with this one!
Thanks Susan! Almost any stamp set can be used to create a background!
Great use of the swirly frames stamp set Jenn. Nice to hop with you today 😀
Thank you!
Love this card Jenn
Thanks, Sue!
I love your card for this month, and it’s great to see the same idea with a different color combo! It’s always wonderful to have the same card in somewhat feminine colors and then also in somewhat masculine colors – especially for birthdays. Thanks for sharing these great cards 😀
Thank you Kimberley! It did work out to be a completely different feel, didn’t it!
Such a fun background you’ve created. Great idea Jenn
Thank you!
Very neat cards! I love how you used this set.
Thank you, Kristie!
Great Card 🙂
